  • The Twin Cities Amazons are a women's rugby organization located in the Minneapolis/St. Paul metropolitan area.

    Our club proudly participates in USA Rugby's
    Women's Premier League and Division 2 League. The club plays matches locally and nationally and welcomes players of all levels of experience. At the Twin Cities Amazons Rugby Club, we believe we’re made stronger by our differences and united by our commitment, passion, intensity and desire to be the best.

  • No previous rugby experience is required! We welcome players of all levels, including complete beginners. Our coaches and team members are here to help you learn and improve your skills.

  • Practices are typically held at North Hazelwood Park, 1663 County Rd C E, Maplewood, MN 55109.

    The usual practice times are from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM. Check our social media for any updates or changes.

  • To join the team, you can come to a practice session or contact us via email or social media. We’ll provide you with all the information you need to get started.

  • You’ll need a pair of soccer cleats, a mouthguard, and comfortable athletic clothes.

  • Yes, there are fees for registration, field reservations, and other club expenses. We strive to keep costs reasonable and provide fundraising opportunities. Additional details will be provided during the registration process.

  • We welcome players of various ages, typically from 18 years old and up. Our team includes women from diverse age groups and backgrounds.

  • Ultimately, we welcome all levels of commitment, provided that you clearly communicate your level and stay in regular contact with your captains and coaches. This helps us prepare effectively for practices and games.

  • The frequency of games depends on the season and league schedule. We usually have regular matches on Saturdays or Sundays throughout the season, and our schedule will be provided once you join the team.

  • Absolutely! We encourage any athlete who is curious about rugby to come and watch a practice or game to get a feel for the team and the sport. Just let us know you’re coming, and we’ll be happy to show you around.

  • The Women's Premier League follows a non-profit, pay-to-play amateur club rugby model. The league is player-led and currently hosts 7 teams. Funding for the WPL comes through grants and donations to the teams. Visit the WPL website to learn more.

    Women's Elite Rugby is a new professional league that follows a for-profit, paid-to-play model. The league will be run by a dedicated front office staff and support 6 teams for the inaugural season, launching in March 2025.
